Meet the Team – Vivienne Stevens
Weddings & Events Coordinator
Where are you from?
I was born in Shrewsbury, but have grown up in many different areas including overseas.
Have you lived elsewhere?
I have been extremely lucky and also grateful to have lived in many different locations. During my early childhood I grew up splitting my time between the UK and Qatar and then attended secondary school in Switzerland. Before moving back to Shrewsbury, I lived in London for 7 years.
Describe your job in 3 words
Fun, challenging and rewarding.
What is the most exciting part about your job?
I love watching my client’s vision come to life. From the initial meeting through to the actual wedding or event day, all you talk about is the day and how it is going to run and look. The morning of, when everything is set up is the most rewarding and exciting part as all this planning has now become reality.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
It is difficult to choose just one moment, so I will say my proudest achievement is all the positive feedback I get from my clients after the events. It makes the whole planning, stress and organisation worthwhile.
Best memory from a wedding?
The best memory would have to be from a wedding which happened recently (April 2023). The ceremony was a blessing, which took place under the on-site gazebo, however the weather was not on our side and it absolutely poured the entire ceremony. It was at this point, I remember all 79 guests moved into the Gazebo, which is normally just for the use of the couple and the registrar, and they all began to sing ‘All your need is love’ by the Beatles as it poured with rain. It was such a beautiful moment and the weather wasn’t going to stop them from having the perfect day.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
I like to play tennis in my spare time. I’m currently recovering from knee surgery, so I spend most the time following the tennis on TV.
