Hencote is looking for a passionate tour guide who can confidently deliver exceptional guest experiences and create unforgettable memories, by leading wine tours and has the skills to support the front of house team in delivering wine flights and assist guests on wine pairings and recommendations.

Established in 2015, Hencote Estate comprises of an award winning vineyard and winery at the centre of its Estate, and consists of an onsite restaurant, wine shop, accommodation and event hosting capability.

The ideal candidate will run multiple weekend and midweek private and public tours and tastings, handling all aspects of the tour including setting up and liaising with the Kitchen Team in regards to cheeseboards and other foods linked with the tour.

The candidate will be responsible in leading and speaking to large tour groups, educating visitors of how each of Hencote’s wines are made, whilst also promoting Hencote and driving onsite wine shop sales.

The candidate will also take ownership and be well versed in the nuances of Hencote’s wine list, convey an understanding of wine pairings to our menus, and will be prepared to discuss any wine-related questions that may arise in the restaurant by guests. Working alongside the Food & Beverage Manager, the candidate will oversee all aspects of wine service and will ensure other members of the team adhere to the standards set out.

Previous experience working in a high-end restaurant is a must and will be required to undergo training.

The candidate will have the ability to deliver warmth, charm and hospitality in every aspect of the role.

Required:
No wine experience necessary. Preferred: WSET Level 2 or Level 3
Able to speak confidently and lead large groups
Ability to work weekends and some midweek days when tours take place.

Salary: £11.00 per hour
