Mark V is an elegant English estate red wine grown and produced at the Hencote vineyard in Shropshire.
A carefully balanced blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Précoce and Rondo, it offers vibrant notes of black cherry, cranberry and subtle savoury spice. Fresh, expressive and beautifully structured, this distinctive English red pairs perfectly with roast meats, game dishes and seasonal dining.
With two gold medals since 2018, this is already the most decorated English red wine at the International Wine Challenge.

Produced from estate-grown fruit at the Hencote vineyard overlooking Shrewsbury, Mark is a distinctive English red wine that reflects both the character of the site and the individuality of each vintage. Our Shropshire vineyard provides ideal growing conditions for carefully selected cool-climate varieties, allowing the fruit to develop vibrant aromatics and natural balance.
Each vintage of Mark is a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Précoce, and Rondo, achieving a perfect balance of fruit, structure, and aromatics to create a truly exceptional wine.
A wine typified by the sum of its parts in tune with the location of our vines in the context of each given season. Seamlessly amalgamated whilst showing beguiling black cherry and cranberry notes that lead the deliciously savoury palate and finish with a gentle persistence.
English red wine continues to gain recognition for its freshness, balance and elegant fruit character, particularly from carefully managed vineyard sites. At the Hencote estate, our vines are grown on south-facing slopes overlooking Shrewsbury, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and develop expressive aromatics. Harvest
A mild spring followed by a warm, dry summer led to early veraison, allowing for an extended ripening period. This perfect timing enabled us to maximise the potential of our vineyards and continue the exciting progress of our flagship wine.
Winemaking
Every stage of production is designed to enhance the elegance, length, and structure of this wine. We carefully select each parcel of fruit at its peak ripeness and process them individually to ensure cellar diversity and offer a wide range of high-quality blending options. Maturation varies by variety and style, incorporating oak aging, neutral stainless steel, and clay amphora.
